Monmouth Cap
Monmouth Cap
Wear yours under your cycle helmet today instead of your lobster pot helmet! The Monmouth Cap was worn extensively in the 16th and 17th Century by ordinary folk such as soldiers, sailors and agricultural workers. Popular today with re-enactors, anglers and for all outdoor pursuits.
Our hats are made (by museum volunteers) in Huntingdon, using pre-washed 100% wool - each an individual. Large size 27”circumference, crown to brim 9”, medium size 25”, crown to brim 8.5”. Colours and patterns shown cannot be guaranteed - email us at museum@cromwellmuseum.com to find out the current stock.
